Spotlight: Ryan Rollins

Ryan Rollins has stepped into the starting lineup has given the Bucks a spark in the early season.

After Damian Lillard was traded in the offseason and Kevin Porter Jr. (knee) went down in the opening game of the season, Ryan Rollins (17.0 ppg, 5.7 ast) was thrust into the spotlight.

He’s been a star in his role so far, providing lightning-quick drives into the lane (9.3 drives per game, second behind Giannis Antetokounmpo), reliable three-point shooting (41.2 percent) and strong point-of-attack defense.

Rollins has a strong motor, along with a space-eating wingspan of 6-foot-10.

“He’s just tough,” Doc Rivers said after Rollins dropped a career-high 32 points against the Golden State Warriors Saturday. “He’s a tough kid.”

He’ll face Immanuel Quickly and the Raptors tonight on League Pass (7:30 ET).

Welcome to a six-game night in the NBA!

Paolo Banchero leads the Magic into Atlanta to face Jalen Johnson and the Hawks in the opening game of our ‘NBA Coast 2 Coast’ doubleheader.

It’s time for ‘NBA Coast 2 Coast Tuesday’ on Peacock tonight, with a doubleheader featuring Magic-Hawks and Thunder-Clippers!

Orlando and Atlanta have ground their way to 3-4 starts in the early season, as they deal with shifting starting lineups and responsibilities after offseason changes.

In Orlando, the Magic are seeking to find their scoring balance with new acquisition Desmond Bane, who’s down to 14.6 ppg so far this season. Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero have also seen their scoring averages slip — but Paolo isn’t worried.

“You didn’t want to start the season as we did, but at the same time, it’s really early so you can’t overreact,” Banchero said. “You can’t start going away from each other and everyone start pointing fingers. It’s too early. And we’ve got guys that have been in the league long enough to know that this is a very long season.”

Atlanta is abiding without star point guard Trae Young, who went down with an MCL sprain on Oct. 29. Nickeal Alexander-Walker has filled in over the last two games, which Atlanta split, while dropping 21 and 16 points.

Keep an eye on power forward Jalen Johnson, who seems back to his old self after missing 46 games last season. He’s averaging 21.2 ppg, 9.0 reb and 5.0 ast, and has turned it up without Trae, averaging 22.5 ppg and 13 rebounds.

Banchero and Jalen Johnson ought to be worth the price of admission tonight. Which Duke alum will show out?

The Thunder are seeking to set an Oklahoma City-era record by getting to 8-0 tonight, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander seeks to continue a historic run for scoring consistency.

SGA could put up his 80th consecutive game with 20+ points tonight, passing Oscar Robertson (79) for the third-longest streak in NBA History.

The Clippers were one shot away from a victory last night against the Heat. Can former Thunder stars James Harden and Chris Paul hand OKC their first loss of the season? Catch the action on Peacock to find out.

Also, we’ve got a matchup of 5-1 teams on League Pass, as the Bulls travel to Philadelphia to face the 76ers.

Josh Giddey (22.2 ppg, 9.2 reb, 8.7 ast), Tyrese Maxey (33.7 ppg) and VJ Edgecombe (20.3 ppg, 5.0 reb, 5.0 ast, No. 1 on the latest Kia Rookie Ladder) have been three of the most exciting players of the season so far this season. Who will win the backcourt battle tonight?
